FAQ

Q - If I have 100 in remaining salary, and I want to bid on a couple of players, do I have to split it between them or can I bid 100 for each in case one of them doesn't win?

A - No, your salary must be split. Otherwise, you could win both bids and end up paying 200. So you would have to enter two bids of 50 for example.

Q - If I name a player to be dropped in the event of a successful bid, but don't win the bid, can I still just drop my named player anyway or do I have to wait for another week.

A - You can still drop that player. Just send a second email with [DROP] in the subject line, requesting that he be dropped. Otherwise, any players named as being replaced in an unsuccessful bid will stay on your roster.

Q - If I have 100 salary remaining and want to make a bid dropping a player of 75 if successful, does that mean I can bid up to 175?

A - No, only your available salary at the time of making the bid can be counted. The player's 75 salary will be removed from your roster after the successful bid is confirmed. So if you were to bid all of the 100 and were successful, you would have 100 salary added to your roster and 75 removed.

Q - How do I work out how much a Free Agent's salary will be before I sign him?

A - A Free Agent's salary will be equal to the winning bid required to sign him. So if a manager wins a player with a bid of 25 then the player will have a salary of 25 no matter who they are. This new salary lasts until the manager drops the player (at which point their salary will rever to 0 until re-signed as above) or until the salaries reset at the end of the season (at which point the player will have a new salary calculated in time for the draft).

Q - When I re-sign a former player, when does his salary revert from what I bid to what it was when he was previously on my roster? Can I still bid the whole of my cap space even though his eventual salary might be higher than what I use to bid for him?

A - Yes. The player's salary only reverts to its previous amount once the bid is successful at 4pm on the Friday. So if you have £50 cap space and bid £25 for a player whose salary will revert to £40 when he signs, you can still commit your remaining £25 to another bid.
